Manage & edit groups

The Group products page lists every group in your store.

The list at a glance

• Search & paginate your groups.

• Type - Manual, or Auto · (e.g. Auto · tag) for rule-based groups.

• Status - Active groups render on your storefront; Draft groups are saved but hidden. Toggle a group between the two at any time.

• Products affected - how many products the group combines.

• Actions - Edit, Duplicate, Delete per row.

Edit

Edit re-opens the group in the same editor it was created with (one-option, multi-option, or the auto-rule editor).

Auto Groups update themselves. You don't need to edit an Auto Group every time your catalog changes - it re-syncs automatically. You only edit it to change the rule, names, or styling. See Auto Groups overview.

Duplicate

Duplicate creates a copy named Copy of N - and the copy is created as a Draft. That's intentional: the copy shares the original's products, and two active groups containing the same product would conflict on the storefront. Edit the copy (rename it, swap its products), then activate it.

Delete - choose what happens to the products

Deleting a group (single or via bulk) opens the Remove combined listing dialog. Removing the group always un-combines the listing; you also choose what happens to the products themselves:

Option	What it does
Keep products (default)	Products stay active in your store - only the grouping is removed.
Archive products	Products are hidden from your store but not deleted - reversible from Shopify admin.
Delete products permanently	Products are deleted from Shopify. Cannot be undone.

Click Confirm to apply, or Cancel to keep the group.

Keep products is the safe default and what you want in almost every case. Only pick Delete products permanently when the products themselves should disappear from your store (e.g. cleaning up products that were created by a test Split).

Bulk actions

Select multiple groups to Activate group, Deactivate group, Duplicate group, or Delete group in one go. Bulk delete opens the same Remove combined listing dialog, applied to every selected group.

Keeping track of changes

Every automatic and manual sync is recorded in Sync logs - useful to confirm a group updated after you changed a tag or collection. See Sync logs.
