Create a product group

A product group combines several separate products into one product page. Each product appears as a selectable option; clicking it switches the page to that product (keeping its own price, images, and URL).

Example: you sell a Blue Shirt, a Red Shirt, and a Navy Shirt as three products. A group shows them on one page as Blue / Red / Navy.

Set up a manual group

Open the editor

Go to Group products → Create group, then choose Build by one option under Manual Create.

Name the group and the option

• Group name - internal only, used to find the group in your list. Not shown to customers.

• Option name - what shoppers see on the storefront (e.g. Color, Choose a style).

Choose a display style

Under Choose display style, pick how the option looks - set separately for Product page display and Collection page display. Styles: Auto image swatch, Custom swatch, Pill swatch, Swatch card, Button, or Dropdown.

Add products and set each value

• Add the products that belong in the group.

• For each product, optionally type the value shoppers see for that swatch (e.g. Blue). If you leave it blank, OPTIS uses the product title.

• Drag to reorder - the order here is the order on the storefront.

Save

Click Save. Open any product in the group on your storefront to see the swatch selector.

Least setup: with Auto image swatch, OPTIS uses each product's image as the swatch automatically - so you usually don't need to set anything by hand. Use Custom swatch when you'd rather choose each swatch yourself.

Want this to keep itself updated? If your products share a tag or collection, an Auto Group does the same thing but re-syncs automatically when products change.
