Bulk group by title pattern

Create many groups at once by scanning your entire catalog and grouping products that share a base title. Perfect when your products are already named consistently, like Hoodie - Black, Hoodie - Grey, Cap - Black …

How it works

You give OPTIS a separator. It splits every product title into a base (before the separator) and a value (after it), then creates one group per base.

One pass over your catalog creates a group per shared base title

Set it up

Open Bulk group by title

From the nav, open Bulk group by title (or Create group → Bulk Create → Bulk group by title pattern).

Choose the separator

Set the separator that appears in your titles (e.g. -). OPTIS shows a preview of the groups it will create and the option value each product gets.

Run

Click to run. OPTIS creates all the groups in one batch and takes you to the Product groups list when it's done.

One-shot operation. Bulk-by-title creates groups in a single pass - it is not an Auto Group, so it doesn't keep re-syncing. If you want ongoing sync, use an Auto Group → Match by title pattern instead.

For a large catalog the run happens in the background. Watch progress and the outcome in Sync logs.
